At the start of 2010, lets recall something we have done in 2009!

-Remember there was once where we all gathered in America room, and at the end of it we memorised a verse from 2 Corinthians together?
-A few would remember, and perhaps even fewer can recite the entire verse!

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Therefore we do not lose heart.
Though outwardly we are wasting away,
yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
For our light and momentary troubles
are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen.
For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

As school starts and you start to make friends with Hitler, Stalin and your D&T projects once again, don't forget to chew on the Word of God daily : )

Just a recap on the 2 nights dennis met us.

Firstly, let's have quality caregroups in the entire east! :D

Treasure your caregroup members man, they're gonna your friends for life!

Secondly, Dennis challenged us about 3 things

- More musicians to rise up in the district

- More people who are able to help out in the IT and media side

- New generation of leaders from the lower secondary

YEA, be the unstoppable district for Jesus by using your strengths,

skills and talents in this KOG! Invest in things that will last!

Let's continue to walk right with Jesus daily.

I want to pray in tongues, talk to Jesus, read his word,

sing praises to him, BECAUSE he is the worthy Lord of my life. (:

Register for camp already!

have you yet to register for our very own y-hope UNSTOPPABLE camp?! how can that be!! yesterday was the ending date of early bird registration! (except for our new brothers and sisters that came to know God after march.) howeverrr! if you have not yet register camp, don't hesitate to sign up for camp even if its normal registration at $150! because you will NEVER, i repeat again! you will NEVER regret going for our very own y-hope camps!

why?
1) you get to be with your caregroup almost every single moment! imagine the amount of fun that is accumulated?! it's so much i'm starting to burst with excitement already! and what's more it's after exams! let's make up for the fun we may have lost in the exams!!=D

2) you get to learn from the word of God!!
honestly! missing out from the word of God?! you'll miss out a great life transformation God can do in you man! some ppl need to go for survival camps etc for a month for their lives to change! but all you need is to hear God speaking to you in camp to get that life transformation! how great is that!

3) you get to experience God close-up!
without the many distracting elements you have in your life, like your very own bed, computer, television, psp etc. you are entitled to bring yourself out of that distracting world you are in, into the world where only God and His kingdom is the focus! you will be able to hear God's still small voice more than ever, because He will be really close to you!=)

4) , 5), 6) , 7) .. and more! til a hundred thousand million billion reasons. and they are all the same! camp just simply can't be missed because it'll be God-filled, fun-filled and craze-filled!

no problem is problems anymore before God and His people, being unstoppable does not starts in june when camp comes! it starts now, even while we prepare and register for camp! nothing can stop us because God is with us!=) jiayou!!

I hope the following testimony will encourage those who have problems in going for camp, to really put their trust, faith and hope in God, knowing that He will always always make a way out for us :)

1. THE APPROVAL

In case you still do not know, I'm currently in my 2nd month of poly internship, which will last for 6 months. There are many rules that I have to follow, but one rule, I disliked the most was - 'No leaves allowed'.

"HOW. I can't make it for camp!" How frustrating.

I prayed a simple prayer.
'Dear God, I really want to go for camp. I'm gonna ask my supervisor to allow me to apply for leave. I cannot miss out on this camp! Help me to find the right timing and say the right words. Give me the extra courage that I need. Thank you in advance, in Jesus name, Amen!'

Of course, still with a slight nervousness, I tried to pop the question a few times to my supervisor. One whole day passed, and guess what? I still haven't asked.

That night, Cheng asked me, "Eh, how ah, can you go for camp?"

"No, I haven't asked yet."

"What?! You better ask by this week!" roared Cheng.

Okayyy.. I had to ask, SOON.

I did :)

Once again, I really thank God for technology - MSN. Thank God for that, thank God my office can use MSN everytime, thank God my supervisor was online during work, thank God for giving me courage to ask (though online), and lastly, thank God He made a way!!

Though I cannot apply for leave, and that I have to work OT tp gain back the 16 hours I will be missing from work, it is truly a blessing that I can go for full camp! I don't think there are many other interns who will receive such privileges:)

2. FINANCE, NOT A PROBLEM TOO BIG FOR GOD!

A week left to end of early bird registration. Not only do I have to pay for camp fees myself, I don't have enough cash on hand.

Again, I prayed a simple prayer.
'Dear God, help. What a miracle you did in helping me get approval to go for camp, I pray for another miracle so as to be able to pay for early bird camp fee! Thank you Lord, Amen.'

You know what, just before Saturday (supposedly last day of early bird regsitration), I got part of my salary! Though my supervisor forgot to fill in cheque for my salary, he didn't forget my pay day, and gave me $200 first. Thank God!! I can pay for camp! :D

3. WHEN GOD BLESS, HE WILL DO IT ALL THE WAY!

YES! So excited to pay for camp! Got the approval, money, and last thing to do is to submit the money!:)

I had such a good night's sleep. Wake up early in the morning, all ready to go for singer's. Smiles were plastered all over my face. Only until, I received an sms from Shirlene Loo.

Here it goes something like this: Hey easta1 girls! Today is last day of early bird registration! Please remember to bring $140 and the camp form ok? See you, love you girls! :)

I'm stunned for a moment. SHUCKS. I FORGOT TO BRING MY CASH OUT. IT'S IN MY RED BAG!
I felt totally stupid and frantic. Early in the morning, Jeslin told me that she has to reach somewhere by 10am. At that point of time, it was around 9.55am. I knew I still had to give it a try to call home to check if Jes is still there.

Again, I prayed a simple prayer.
'Dear God, I know you will make a way. In Jesus name, Amen.'

I dialled my home number immediately.

"Hello, is ah en home?" said me.
"Ah en? Wait ah," said Vivi (my maid), "Ah si is not home."
"Eh.. I'm Ah si, is ah en at home?" I asked.
"Oh ah en ah, you wait ah..." Vivi replied.
"Hello, what?" said Jes.

THANK YOU HEAVENLY FATHER! I'm uberly amazed at what You can do. You showed me once and again of your perfect, heavenly timing in all things. Your ways, always higher and better than our ways. I know this happened for a reason.

4. IT DOESN'T END THERE.

If you read closely, I have to work 16 hours OT right? That is actually quite alot, my supervisor even asked me to stay overnight at the work place - even though I don't have to work proper 'work'. I can just, be there. For now, I'm down of 3 hours of OT!

Recently, he offered me something better. For two Saturdays, I can just go for 3 hours of work (9am to 12pm) each, and the hours I work is considered double! Means in total, though I work for only 6 hours, I'm credited working for 12 hours! How cool is cool!

If you're thinking, "Eh, 12PM LEH", read on.

Each time I work on Saturday, I'm entitled to $10 transportation fee from my company. Plus, the distance from my work place to Nexus is so near, that I can walk there within 15-20 minutes! With that free $10, I will take a cab down instead!:) I can go for prayer meet. Yay!

Dear girls and guys, don't panic, don't fret if you still can't make it for camp. Keep desiring, pray by faith, our God is good!

Hi Yanyu here! Came across this when I wanted to do bulletin for my group. Thought it may be useful for some of us...

No matter what you may be feeling, God has an encouragement for you! So don't dwell in your emotions, but let the Word of God have a greater impact. You can also use it to encourage people around you if you know they are in any of these category.

Lastly, I believe today there will be quite a number of people going out on the street to share Christ today, just want to say JIA YOU, we're in this together! Tell the world that Jesus lives... :)

hello crappy , full-of-nonsese , loving and powerful army of east!

i was re-reading book of John and i believe many of you know about Jesus ministry =D He took three and a half years to disciple twelve strong disciple (even though one betrayed and one denied him) and had so so so so so many other followers alongside Him .

it just dawn upon me how awesome Jesus is and i'm really thankful that He created us in His image and sent the Holy Spirit to live within us... gosh, we have a living God living within us, how cool is that! =D

for some of you , you merely started out your christian faith and for some of us , we have been serving for years =D however Jesus merely took around three years to establish His kingdom and accomplish what He set out to do... all of us are given four to five years in our secondary school , around one year more than what Jesus had but yet He's able to do sooooo much! =D we ain't very different from Jesus when He was walking on Earth , just like us , He's human and He got tempted in every way but Jesus did not gave in . peer pressure , bgr , family matters blahblah - you name it , He faced it =D

and the coolest thing of all , God promised us something - glory to glory =D let's claim God's promise ! Jesus have done it , so can we , His spirit is living within us! =D

The Enemy's Perfect Plan

Let's not allow the enemy to distract us...

Satan called a worldwide convention. In his opening address to his evil angels, he said, "We can't keep Christians from going to church. We can't keep them from reading their Bibles and knowing the truth. We can't even keep them from conservative values. But we can do something else. We can keep them from forming an intimate, abiding relationship experience in Christ. If they gain that connection with Jesus, our power over them is broken. So let them go to church, let them have their conservative lifestyles, but steal their time, so they can't gain that experience in Jesus Christ. This is what I want you to do, angels. Distract them from gaining hold of their Savior and maintaining that vital connection throughout their day!"

"How shall we do this?" shouted his angels.

"Keep them busy in the nonessentials of life and invent unnumbered schemes to occupy their minds" he answered. "Tempt them to spend, spend, spend then borrow, borrow, borrow. Convince the wives to go to work for long hours and the husbands to work six or seven days a week, ten to twelve hours a day so they can afford their lifestyles. Keep them from spending time with their children. As their family fragments, soon their homes will offer no escape from the pressures of work."

"Overstimulate their minds so that they cannot hear that still small voice. Entice them to play the radio or cassette player whenever they drive, to keep the TV, VCR, CD's and their PC's going constantly in their homes. "Let them be involved in soul-winning. But crowd their lives with so many good causes they have no time to seek power from Christ. Soon they will be working in their own strength, sacrificing their health and family unity for the good of the cause."

It was quite a convention in the end. And the evil angels went eagerly to their assignments causing Christians everywhere to get busy, busy, busy and rush here and there.

Has the devil been successful at his schemes? You be the judge.

Yep, through this story, believe there is much we can identify with and learn from.

-especially those bolded, don't fall prey to them. those are things that hinders us and our relationship with God if we do not manage them well. Seek out a balance.

-being BUSY does not equate to serving the Lord a lot. It simply means Being Under Satan's Yoke

-don't be busy, be fruitful.

Yeah as you read through the story i hope that all of us will in one way or another resolve to having better self-discipline and control over ourselves, that we will stand strong in God and be steady in our relationship with Him, that nothing will hinder us from spending time with God and doing His work according to His good and perfect will. As we evangelize, plan care groups, follow-up, counsel and do ministry and school, lets remember to do it with God! Don't do it with your own strength (:

When you're tired and weary, seek strength from God. When you're stuck and don't know how to go on, seek wisdom from God. When you simply feel like giving up, go back to your First Love, go back to God. Its good to constantly remind ourselves why we're doing what we do. Keep the vision that God has given you in your head and ask God to renew it. (:

As school is starting soon, i pray for all of us who are schooling that we'll be able to manage our time well and utilize it fully to invest in people's lives and the Kingdom. Let all that we say and do be glorifying to God and that we will still devote time to God and to read the Word daily. God we lift up every burden, worry or sorrow we may have in prayer to You. Help us to be joyful, and give thanks in all circumstances because we know that You are God and you are in control. Lord we submit ourselves unto You, continue to mould and shape us to be more and more like You!

sorry for the super long delay!
haha here to blog about wat i learnt from camp! :D
lol to start off, i wanna share how insecure i am last time. ahha im someone whom if u say something not very good about me i will dwell on it for super long.. haha and it will keep appearing in my head.like radio like tt. also being hate to be left out, in school its common. although it is not very obvious but it affected me alot. haha maybe this whole insecurity thing started when i was young. lol everytime my parents say something bad about me, just 2 sentence! i will cry. lol and they are not even scolding me jus casually talkin to each other.lol i care alot of how ppl thinks of me. btw here to share because i already overcome it:D
anyway, camp was one word, COOL! ahha i went home and slept from 5pm all the way 10.30 am in the morning. lol tts in total 17hrs and 30mins. haha madness!
okie. haha one thing tt i really got hit from God in camp is tt
- God can use you. even if u are dumb, ugly, cant draw , cant sing, cant dance, small, short, insignificant in family or to the world. haha
God can even use a yakult straw even if u think tt u are super small compare to a bubble tea straw! haha it all matters is if u wanna God to use you. hehe u are already not humble if u doubt God.
- faith in focusing on the spiritual and not the natural.
haha God is BIG. not small. dont limit wat God can do! God cant be God if u dont let him be God over the things tt u are worried about.

yepps tts all folks! haha hope this reminds you to look through wat God spoke to u during camp:D haha! JIA YOUUUS! for THE GIFT!

mountain moving faith!

One day a 6 year old girl was sitting in a classroom. The teacher was going to explain evolution to the children.

The teacher asked a little boy: Tommy do you see the tree outside?

TOMMY: Yes.

TEACHER: Tommy, do you see the grass outside?

TOMMY: Yes.

TEACHER: Go outside and look up and see if you can see the sky.

TOMMY: Okay. (He returned a few minutes later) Yes, I saw the sky.

TEACHER: Did you see God up there?

TOMMY: No.

TEACHER: That's my point.. We can't see God because he isn't there. Possibly he just doesn't exist.

A little girl spoke up and wanted to ask the boy some questions.

The teacher agreed and the little girl asked the boy: Tommy, do you see the tree outside?

TOMMY: Yes.

LITTLE GIRL: Tommy do you see the grass outside?

TOMMY: Yessssss!

LITTLE GIRL: Did you see the sky?

II CORINTHIANS 5:7

this was an email sent to me and i've probably seen it before, but still i find really meaningful because of how child-like the girl was! that type of faith that believes in God even tho she doesn't see God!

and i believe that's the type of faith i need to have in the run of CG08! in fact all of us need to have that mountain moving faith! that even though the end of 08 is near, even though we may be far from our goals, even though God may not seem to be with us. BUT! the fact is when we don't see God, He IS still there!

i would really love to have that kind of faith while chionging for God because God moves according to how much we believe He will give, believe God will bless greatly and God will pour down greatly and vice-versa.

but while we have to complete CG08 for God, let's concentrate at what's before our eyes! HEROES CAMP!! really encourage us to have that kind of super faith to believe that we WILL leave the camp changed forever, NEVER the same! expect God to move greatly in ur lives and set objectives for ur camp! ask ur leaders if u dunno how! let's all walk into HEROES camp with our faith filled to the brim! cya all future heroes in the camp! bye!

Once upon a time, long long time ago in a far away land, there was a bird. Let me just name it, Berd.

Berd was alone, on its way to somewhere far far far away, but has yet to decide on where to go. Thus, Berd just flew and found itself ending up in Antarctica. Berd, being stupid, having no idea that the chill would immobilize its wings, ended up plunging down towards the snow and landed straight into it. Berd's wings were stiffed. At a dire state like this, there was nothing it could do but shiver and await its death.

Then came along a cow (which I have no idea why it was there, but that’s how the story goes), which is named Kau, and it had an urge for a release. It was scanning the whole area, looking for a spot best for its release. “Uh-huh!!” it exclaimed, spotting the beak of Berd protruding at the surface of the snow. “It is a sign.....” it continued. And there it went towards it, dug a hole (without noticing the Berd’s existence), and poured a mud slide right into the hole, burrowing Berd in a pool of shit. Berd, though felt like flying a away, was helpless and could only cry out within, “!@#$%^&@#$%^&.” Obviously, after shitting, one would stay away from a distinctive amount of distance from the shit. So Kau left the place.

Miraculously, after a few couple of minutes, Berd’s wings could move again. The shit, which was warm (assuming that the shit remained warm throughout the couple of minutes), heated the chill in the wings and freed it from its immobilization. Berd, having overcome a life threatening situation, was overjoyed. It flapped its wings once again (with all the shit still with it) and flew off far far away from this far away Land, Antarctica.

Naturally, after the long flight and excruciating experience, Berd was famished. It began its search for food. Along the way to far far away land, Berd’s eyes sparkled when it saw the luscious looking fruits lying on the kitchen table. Berd landed on a tree branch right next to the house and stared at the fruits powerlessly. It seemed so near, but yet so far. The fruits were locked behind the windows.

Thankfully, there came the pet cat of the house, Kate. Putting on a wide and suspicious beam on the face, Kate crawled towards the window; its eyes never left Berd at anytime. Slowly but steadily, the crafty Kate slides open the window panes and the fruits were unlocked.

Berd, still as stupid as ever, could not perceive Kate’s intention. It was overwhelmed by the hunger and craving that it took no notice of the situation. Thus, it flew right into Kate’ trap and Kate devoured Berd (with the shit still hanging onto Berd).

The moral of the story is this:
- People who give you ‘shit’ at times might not be the ones that harms you but wants you to benefit.
- People who are good to you might not be the ones who really love you but has their own intentions.

Similarly, God’s loves for us at times are not exactly the ‘lovey-dovey’ kind. We don’t exactly experience God being good to us all the time. Sometimes, God will just give us ‘shitty’ times, such as disciplining us when we do wrong. Well, those times are not supposed to make us suffer or restrict us, but to keep us safe and to grow us. God’s motivation behind everything that He is doing for us is pure love, not that He loves to see us suffer.

EAST DAY AFTERMATH

PART ONE: PHOTOS

The game is as follows...we had 4 stations and 1 mega challenge, 12 teams of all shapes and sizes.. not forgetting our 3 lovely game masters...bingliang, yanyu and yiqin..

we set off after the briefing at ps MRT basement, all excited to win and screams can be heard from ALL gender! If noise pollution can be fine, i think we will be heavily indebt! hahaanyhows, at the stations...

Station 1--> Carrefour Challenge, each team are to 'photo-purchase' 15-20 items which amounts to $324.94. Items must contain at least 1 household item, 1 clothing and 1 electronic appliance. These items are purchased through the snapping of your hi-tech phone, we call it a photo shopping session. =) As huge as Carrefour is, our people could still fill the entire area as they comb for the items. The moment they reached the closest possible $324.94, they rushed to the cashier counters where the gamemasters, yiqin and bingliang were. I feel so sorry for them having to keep their cool as they scan thru ur items frantically. They were practically overwhelmed. They are like cashiers at the counters collecting payments from Singaporeans who don't queue. hurhur.

The first to complete this challenge was Carinna's team. They had an amount of $324.75, not as exact as the other teams, but was able to meet all the criterias in the shortest possible time. Well done Carinna and her team! A very good start, surely!

After the photoshopping session, they proceed to...

Station 2 --> The Cathay, to count how many tv screens are there at the highest floor.This was relatively easy for all the teams, I hope. Honestly, how many tvs are there? I am not sure. haha. oh well.. that's not the point. it was just a breather before the real challenge comes.

Once again, with the competitive nature, they searched high and low for the next game master, yanyu."I was shocked and totally terrorised," said the bunny, "they surrounded me the moment I came out of the toilet." SCARY! I wouldn't want to guess which team.

She then issued the challenge...

Station 3--> Do or Dare, each team is suppose to choose if they wanted to tie their legs together to move about till the end of the game, or to get 3 groups of adults to do chicken dance with them and film it down. >.< What a dilemma! haha.

From what I heard, only Sirui's team tried to use the strings to tie their legs, but in the end, still decided to do the chicken dance! Well, u made the right choice! ha! anyways, many teams revived at this station, some managed to crawl out of the bottom while others sunk deeply. Truly, Carinna's team suffered a feat in this. They were the champions of the first station but due to some issues faced (not sure if it is fear, face or simply not feeling it), they were the last few who left this station.

After that, they were given their next clue, a riddle.

Special thanks to Gwen who came out with this riddle, such a brilliant clue! u rock! =) For all those non-literature persons, it is really not that hard to guess actually but well..as you proved me wrong, MOE needs to re-look into their syllabus. ha! However, they are obviously people who got it quickly and as such had fun eating the ice cream at takashimaya (ngee ann city) while the rest saunder on the streets. Receiving heaps of calls from all the team leaders, it somehow signifies they completed that station.

Directing them to the next destination, they were told to reach SMU Admin Block, beside NTUC income, in the shortest possible time in any mode of transport. xD

There was supposed to be one more station but because of the lack of time, we deleted it but I will still say it anyway. It is to dress up the youngest person in your team in the most auntish or uncle-ish clothes from This Fashion outlet situated at Mac Donald house. Then, translating it into an advertisement for This Fashion. I thought this is gonna be fun but well.. there is always a next time! ha!

So the first 5 teams arrived promptly after the call. The first came in at 6.22pm (Cher's) and the second 6.23pm (Sirui's). 1 minute makes a whole load of difference in this case, champion vs runner-up. Then it was Jessica's team at 6.39pm and a tie for both the 4th and the 5th, Misha's and Aloysious's. So here are your top 5 teams participating in the mega challenge. As they take their rest in 7-11, the remaining teams streamed towards the ending point in hope to not be the last. Following, both Alfonso's and Winstar's team tied as well.

And our dearest yanyu who announced their position is really witty in this.. "You guys are the 1st two teams who are not taking part in the mega challenge."

Not hearing in totality, they screamed for joy thinking they were the first to complete the race! haha! xD we have to calm them down and speak laymen's term. " Basically, you are the 6th and 7th team, not the 1st." haha. That scene was really funny. Truly, honestly, hillarious! As disappointed as they were, they went to buy food and drinks to chill while waiting for the remaining teams. Right, so here is the finale... everyone reached except Jeslin's team. We were all waiting as they hid near 7-11. The wait was too long thus we called them and tried to cheer them on. However, I think both yanyu and I had some chemistry while she was talking to Jeslin on the phone, we tricked them saying they weren't really the last team, it was totally unplanned. I mean come on, only the last few teams receive calls asking where your team is, so.. we decided to be nicer.. =) anyways.. this is the best ending... we gathered the remaining team to run from the other direction to stage the show of Jeslin's team not being the last. As excited her team was, they ran towards us and screamed, " We are earlier than them, we are first, we are not the last!"Oops! I did it again, I laughed at them and they realised the entire east was there instead so.. you know how it ended.

Oh well, like i said, we had fun, 3 cheers for all of you! =) haha.

We ended with the mega challenge where we get the first 5 teams to gulp the giant slurpee! Each team has only 2 straws. Again, the fastest team wins. I must salute Misha's team. Despite being the smallest in number of participants, they emerged champion! woots! haha. the other teams had 5 to 6 contestants, they only have 4. It is surely fun to see how their facial expressions were gulping the slurpee coupled with the brain freeze! haha. If you remember, Jessica's constipated face is still vividly in my memory! haha!

Hope this works well to capture the essence of the east day! We are one family, we do not only serve God hard, we play hard as well.

I am here to blog a testiomony that happened to me recently! so buckle up your seat belts and get on your markk!

I am currently studying in Temasek Poly,School of Engineering.The course that i am studying in now is something like general engine course which means i get to select my choice in where i want to go next year(something like streaming).there's like media,electronics and more..
I put media as my first choice as it was something that i really like and yes is something that i am seriously interested about.

But,when the streaming results were out,something wasnt what i expected happened.i didnt get in to any of my top 3 choices and got into some weird course like mirco-electronics and frankly saying i dont even know what course is that all about.I was really really scared! what makes things worst was that most people in my class got into their first choice,except me and my CP(form teacher) says that the chances of appealing is not high,whoa that was like so discouraging at that point in time.I was really worried,i mean you wouldnt want to get into a course with absolute no interest and got no idea what it is all about.

really really wanna thank God that His presence was so so so real.He reminded me about so much promises in the bible and i am so so so greatful that i have God in my life,without Him i dun know how am i going to make it through this period in my life.

Hello all!
Okay i'm here to post a really short and sweet testimony!! ( i hope okay!)

Okay it's about Camp! :D
There's this pair of sisters - Mildred and Shirley in my cg. Recently, they joined us becuz their mom opposed them to come to this church for like 1 year plus? Thank God! Last last Sat i met their mom and talked about camp.. Her mom was fine with it (for the first time ever) and agreed. I was so happy! But the problem lies with MONEYYY $$! The cg was willing to give and use the little cg funds that we have, but as the days passed, they managed to borrow from their relatives and friends and their own savings to reach $150 each! Yay thank God!! :D lol. Hmm cuz their family facing some problems, not just 1 area, but a few major areas i can say, but i won't say out lah.. So last Saturday, everything was settled and PAID! Yay!

Ahhh but who knows, her mom called after service and started complaining that the venue was too far, that the duration too long, that she can't trust her daughters and all. It was hard to persuade her, even laying down all possible conditions, her mom refused. Then later, they asked their dad. And this was what he allows:
Mildred to come for 3days and 2 nights.
And Shirley cannot go.
I can't believe it. All the money, her mom was willing to say: I don't care about it. I was...sian already, lol. But after clm, called Mildred and Shirley to discuss strategies and encourage them. I thank God for their faith, and their perseverance, they took time to come together and pray.. Wheee~ I thank God for the EA leaders and sirui too, who prayed. The next day, at night, mildred told me that it's all settled. FINALLY! Just one day difference, yet a change was made in their parents' hearts! Their hearts were indeed softened, God really put certain reasons in them to know why they should let their daughters go for camp, lol. I don't know how to say. But everything just took a 180deg turn, and,
I WANT TO SAY THAT GOD IS FAITHFUL EVERYDAY! :D

I repeat: BE WARNED! THIS IS A SUPER LONG POST!

Surfed through the TV channels searching for something to watch, and HBO’s movie – ‘Daddy’s Day Camp’ caught my attention.

Here’s a short synopsis of what it is all about:”Dads Charlie Hinton and Phil Ryerson take over running a summer day camp at Driftwoods. Armed with no knowledge of the great outdoors, a dilapidated facility, and a motley group of campers, it doesn’t take long before things get out of control. Up against threats of foreclosure and declining enrolment, Charlie is forced to call on his estranged father, Col Buck Hinton, to help bring the camp together and teach everyone about teamwork, perseverance and the power of forgiveness.”

Sadly, this movie has been horrifyingly badly graded by its viewers. Rated between grades of C- to F by Yahoo movie critics, 70 out of 71 voters voted it a rotten movie at www.rottentomatoes.com, and an average user rating of 2.2 out of 10.

How funny, it still got me all emotional and hooked to it. And definitely, it is not a waste of my 1hour and 29 minutes! Below are just some things I was reminded about:

1. “To win the battle, you first need to believe in the success of the mission” – quoted from Col Buck Hinton.
Isn’t it so true… that in whatever that we are doing, be it winning the schools, shepherding, or fighting our own personal battles with the evil one, we ought to first have faith and believe that it can be won or overcomed! Many times its been repeated that to complete CG08, ‘If you don’t believe that it can be done, you have already lost half the battle’, yet again there are times we get discouraged and start to doubt whether it is possible. Just like any competition, if we don’t believe that we can win, we might as well don’t start anything at all; otherwise everything we’ve worked hard for will go to waste. So, believe, have faith in our God, that whatever promises we claim from His Word, they will come to past! Do not lose hope; do not give up, stand firm. CG08 will be completed!

2. What happened in the show: The kids who went for Driftwoods camp has been constantly attacked and demoralised by the kids from Canola camp. They were humiliated, looked down upon, treated with little respect. However, Col Buck Hinton took this chance to pull the Driftwoods kids together, used it as an opportunity to build teamwork. He encouraged, empowered, directed, and led them to counter-attack Canola.
Turn your discouragements to positive motivation! Leaders, continue to always instil hope and belief in your people! When all fails, you are their last glimpse of hope! Continue to affirm and encourage, because sometimes all they need is a little push:)

3. What happened in the show: Due to the lousy start-up of Driftwoods camp, there were a lot of bills that piled up. It came to a point when the government sent people to go to Charlie Hinton’s house to calculate auction value of his furniture. His wife was angry at first, but ended up giving her full support. Another incident was that a kid in camp was afraid of sleepovers because he had a tendency to wet his bed at night. Instead of laughing, his instructor, Phil Ryerson, comforted him by sharing his own experiences and gave practical advice.
We don’t just work as a team, but a family. Always look out for needs to be met, be open in sharing, learn to understand and empathise with each other’s experiences.

4. “You’ve got the best dad ever. He may be a little more protective over you, but that is because he loves you” – quoted from Col Buck Hinton.
Ahhh… Know that God our Daddy is always looking over us. Follow in step with His ways and plans, though we may not understand, for they are never to short-change us or harm us, but always for the good of us. Obey despite understanding!

5. What happened in the show: In the Campers Olympiad, Canola has been cheating their way through in all of the obstacles, but Driftwoods emerged victorious!
Remember: Victory always belongs to us! No matter how bad the situation is, at the end of the day, the one who remains the loser is – S.A.Tan.

A few days ago, I was talking to a poly classmate, Adam Esoof Piperdy.

Adam is a successful young businessman. His family started out this Emcee/ DJ company called ‘Unearthed Productions’, and it has been clinching many deals since it’s been launched. He is rich. He held a high leadership position back in secondary school days as President of Peer Support Leaders. He always had been achieving good grades – 11 points for L1R5 and current GPA of 3.3+. He is super influential.

Florence: “Hey Adam, what do you plan to do in your future huh?”
Adam: “When I’ve had enough, I’ll just devote my entire life into volunteering work and just die there.”

Adam: “Eh, I heard that the second coming of Jesus is gonna happen soon. Like got all the financial crisis stuff going on, and the disasters…”
Florence: “Yea! You believe that it will happen?”
Adam: “Yeah. I believe that there is a God.”

Adam: “You know what?”
Florence: “What?”
Adam: “I never knew I would be doing all this know. (He is talking about his successful career) I really got to thank Mr Oh (Temasek teacher). Without his belief in me, I wouldn’t be where I am today. It only takes one person to belief in you to make magic.”

Florence: “What are you busy with huh?”
Adam: “Work, and I will go back to Temasek to help out in the school events.”
Florence: “Huh, why?”
Adam: “I want to invest in the youth. I do not like the idea when people say the youth are young and ignorant when they are so full of potential!”

Well.. I don't know how and what you think or feel.. But I think that it certainly is such a waste if people with so much influence, who believe in the potential of the youth, and yet do not use their talents to serve God for a greater eternal cause.. There surely are like many many thousands millions of people like him, who need God in their lives!

Testimony!
All the while, Shirlene’s parents did not support the idea of her becoming a Christian. There were times when she cried and were so afraid that her parents might stop her from coming to church and stuff. There was once when she ‘backslided’ (very long time ago) because her parents objected her from attending any church activities. But! Thank God she is back!

Not only is she super supportive and initiative (she is planning for an EA stayover/ designed an EA1 shirt by herself etc.), I really admire her fervor in bringing people to come to know God! Ever since she decided to commit to the KOG, she has been asking her friends to come and join us for service. She never gave up asking, and finally, week after week, she has brought 4 visitors for service. Of which, 2 of them converted! She is also someone who is ever grateful to God… in her first caregroup, she was already dying to share 3 testimonies to the group! ALSO, she was holy spirit baptized last Thursday! Wow…

On Saturday, she wrote me this short letter:
“Hello florencechenxiaosi!
Know what? My parents never go against me for going to church, they actually encourage me to find out more about it. My dad even said that at this age is good for me to find out more before making the decision. OMGee! My dad encourage me to go! :O He knows that it would help too in my growing life! Really thank God for that! Phew!”

I’m truly inspired and encouraged by her life. So amazed at how much God can do in her and through her. Thank God for you Shirlene!

The death of a 13-year-old girl who committed suicide after becoming the victim of an Internet hoax has inspired a legislative effort to make it an offense for adults to harass children.

In 2006, 13-year-old Megan Meier hanged herself after being teased on social networking site MySpace.

A neighborhood mother, her 18-year-old employee and 13-year-old daughter created a fake profile of an attractive teenage boy to befriend Meier. Meier had depression and attention deficit disorder when she started talking to “Josh” through their MySpace pages. After talking with him for several weeks, Megan suddenly began receiving cruel messages from Josh, including one stating that he did not want to be her friend anymore. Shortly thereafter, Megan hanged herself in her bedroom.

We have the chance to impact and influence the youths and the love of God could have touched them. But we've got no more chance to do that now with the names mentioned above. ARGH!

Hi people,

I really want to tell you about how much I feel over this news I saw today. There is this 15 year old boy that jumped to his death because his parents refuse him to change CCA.

Sometimes, when we are serving God, we don't know the impact that we are making. Each shepherding, each followup, each time we go onto the streets to evangelise, they are sowing seeds of Jesus and God's love to the people of the world. The people that we are reaching to, are being transformed by the love of God each time. We as believers carry the love of Christ and the hope of his resurrection. And there are times that we don't feel like evangelising or follow-upping or doing ministry.

How can people not serve Jesus?

How can christians not preach the gospel to even their friends?

How can we be afraid to do the work of God and the go on the streets to evangelise?

THE WORLD NEEDS JESUS.

We Christians carry the power of God which transform life, the love of christ which gives people hope and comfort. What justice will we do if we just live the happy world of ours, singing songs and fellowshipping in our CGs and recieving the blessings of God to our lives.

I wonder, what differences will it make to the boy if he knows Jesus, if he knows that he need not care about what his parents say but what God says is more important. If he can draw comfort from Jesus and take refuge in him when he quarrels with his parents. What difference will it make?

I have one question today for all of us,

Can we STAND to see people deprive of the love of God and waste their life (figuratively and literally) and we who have the hope in us not do ANYTHING.

Boy leapt to his death over CCA 15-year-old wanted a switch but parents tried to dissuade him

By Elena Chong, Courts Correspondent A 15-YEAR-OLD jumped from the 11th-floor bedroom window of his home - in front of his mother - after a disagreement with his parents over his intention to switch his co-curricular activity (CCA) in school.

Tan Wen Yi had wanted to switch from track-and-field to drama but his parents were against it.

Up till then, no one would have thought Wen Yi as a troubled or even self-destructive sort. The Secondary 3 student of Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) was described as cheerful and was well-liked by his classmates and respectful towards his teachers, the Coroner's Court heard yesterday.

A police investigation report presented in court said that on Feb 13 this year, Wen Yi skipped track-and-field training to play football. He was caught by his track teacher and questioned.
He later complained to his classmate that he had been dealt track training sessions four times a week as punishment; he also said he was going to die, but his classmate assumed he was joking.
On their way home in the same bus, Wen Yi was cracking jokes and did not appear depressed.
Staff Sergeant Raymond Chng of the Tanglin Police Division said in his investigation report that Wen Yi's mother received a call from the track teacher that afternoon about her son's ditching his training for football. The teacher, Mr Ng Yeong Joo, 38, who had been told that Wen Yi wanted to switch to drama, told the teen's mother to advise him against it.

That evening, in a talk with his parents in their Stevens Road condo home over the matter, Wen Yi said he had lost his inspiration to run and insisted on the switch.

His parents tried to talk him out of it, but he refused to listen.

He then announced that he had planned to make the switch the following month, 'but I am going to do it now'. He headed for his bedroom, followed by his mother, who sensed something amiss. Before her eyes, he walked up to the window, opened the blinds, climbed onto the ledge, pushed the window open and jumped out. She rushed forward but was too late.

Staff Sgt Chng said that a day before, Wen Yi had sent a classmate a text message in which he said he was going to commit a crime - jump off a building as a 'final feat of rebellion' and let his craziness be known to the world. 'Will you as a friend accompany me on this day?' he had asked.
When he took up track-and- field in 2006, his attendance was irregular, but he blossomed into a medal-winner last year.

His parents were not in court yesterday. Asked why by State Counsel Lee Cheow Han, Staff Sgt Chng said the couple have gone overseas to forget what had happened. They have another child, a girl aged 10.

State Coroner Earnest Lau recorded a verdict of suicide.

WOAHHHH!!!!! What a wake up call?! Now, it's actually 37 days to complete 4 schools for Jesus! Seems impossible and crazy. but i know with Jesus and my bunch of FBL (fun biblical loving) guys, nth is ever impossible!!!! coz i know the battle belongs to the Lord! He'll fight it for me!

We need God's grace in our lives if we want to do great things for the Kingdom of god! And God's grace is always available for us to refill, unconditionally and unlimited. And our faith will affect how much god's hands of grace will move!

Hi everybody, Yanyu from EastA here! haha. At first was thinking through what to share, since today is my mum's birthday, I thought of sharing how God blessed me in the area of family and answered my prayers...

Just to give a brief background for those who don't know, my family consist of my parents, my 2 elder brothers (which are 8 and 10 yrs older than me), and ME! Over the years, my siblings and I don't really ask much about each other's life due to our busy schedule and partly age gap. Not only that, I seldom stay at home so don't really spend alot of time with my parents. Therefore, our relationships are very strained and distant as we meet up to have dinner together only once a year.

I remembered this year CNY dinner was a pathetic one, the whole atmosphere was like 5 acquaintance sitting together eating rather than family dinner, with my 2nd brother talking on the phone throughout. Here and there my eldest brother and I will initiate a few conversation but it just feel kinda awkward. Then during my birthday, 1 of my prayer request is for God to do something in the family and change the whole atmosphere, afterwhich, i really see a difference in it.

Everyone started to take more initiative and avail ourselves to spend time together. It was really a breakthrough because this year was the very first year that we celebrated everyone's birthday and the special occassions like mother's day etc, on top of that, we had a few family dinner just to meet up and spend time together. Even the atmosphere is different, hearts are more open, not that tense anymore as we will joke around. Last time it feels like we're obligated to eat together because of the traditions, but now I can see that everyone really enjoy it.

My attitude towards my family took a turn as well, I will try my best to spend more time with my parents weekly like going home earlier blah blah, alot of small things which I shan't elaborate. Also, I began to show appreciation towards them through words or blessing them with food they like to eat. Haha. And I think the way I communicate with my mum now is like a friend sometimes, joke with each other and suan my dad together etc.

I really thank God for these good works that He had done gradually, although there are still things that really need to be improved, I really want to trust God even more for what is to come. I want to claim that verse in Joshua 24:15, "...But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."

haha just wanna encourage those who is having holidays!(weets!) and have gotten back your results and classes.
shall share about my results. to describe it as one word for me it is dissapointing. hurhur when i got back my results, wow it was really bad. at that point of time, i really doubted God and was very very dissapointed. i doubted God beacause i really tried my best, i doubted God because he said that if i place God's kingdom and righteousness first all these things will be given to me as well, i doubted God because i just wanted to glorify his name and every single paper, i trusted him. haha so it was really bad. just gotten my results on wat class i will be goin to heehee although it is not wat i expected, although it is not wat i planned, although it is not even what i wanted.But i know that watever class that i will be goin to is God's plan. really wanna to give thanks in all circumstances and know that God is in control.
haha wanna to encourage those people who tried hard duirng your end of year,but the results is not wat you expected, really dun give up and doubt God. because firstly, God is in control and God knows the best and he knows your limit.

secondly, i wanna to share some interesting tips on how to lead Holy com in your caregroup:DDDD

1-take a container that people can see through which contains water inside. saying that whenever we sin, the water gets blacker. when saying that pour abit of black paint into it. explain too like our life is no longer clear and clean. after that pour clean water into the container of black paint saying that God has already given us a new life and we do not have to pay for our sins anymore.
(pour the clean water untill the container is clear)

2- a teddy bear
- an umbrealla
we are just like the teddy bear. than whenever we sin, the sin will get back to us. (can preapre paper balls and throw at the teddy bear. get the people in your cg to throw at it too. throw at it untill it falls.) when it falls can say that whenever man sins, they will fall. because God love us too much, he came in and act as a protection for us,( an umbrella) put the umbrella in front of the teddy bear to protect it. God acts like an umbrella for us that whenever we sin,we do not have to pay fully for it because God has already died on the cross for us.

3- cut heart shapes and give to everyone in your cg. prepare a needle and ask the people to think of all the sins that they had committed during the week. when thought of it already, poke the heart( as many times as you have sinned)
can say that the heart represents God's heart and whenever we sin, it hurts God's heart.

HELLO EAST !

i'm here to share with you an advanced testimony ! =D

i'm kinda of ashamed to share that my group didn't have any converts for ESS and seriously we ain't feeling very good about it... but then later in the night when i asked them about it , their replies were like " i gonna work even harder... " and such... once again , God reminded me of my vision He gave me during camp , that picture of junyuan and eastview being completed runs through my mind , the picture of being able to share testimony to the rest telling them how great God is ! my vision given by our great God will be able to come to past !

pray with us , as we fast and pray and work hard, and we'll gonna with all that with have , give our very best to God =D watch out for EA2 alright ! HAHA and it surely takes faith to type this thing out , cos what if it didn't come to past ? HAHA so i'm dead sure that this two schools will , can and must be completed !

eight more weeks down to camp , let's witness the whole EAST completing all our schools before camp ! JIAYOU ! =D

I just want to take this time to give thanks to God for GOD!HAHA
basically,on sunday morning,i attempted to on my laptop and something just pop out like some boot thingy.so i consulted help and to only realise that my laptop crash!!!at that instance i was like totally in shocked and helpless and plus this laptop is quite new,only bought it this year april like that...
so i just prayed to God and restart my laptop,normally if such things happen,there is no way to like so called save it unless i reformat whioch also means that everything is gone!!!like photos,tachings,and many many things...
and to my amazement...
God again showed Himself to be FAITHFUL!haha
then it went back to normal condition again!!!!!!!!THANKGGOD right?haha

Hi all,

I am Alvin from EastD2 and just want to share with you guys somethings I learnt along the week. I was listening to a Podcast by Wayne Cordeiro and the few points he mentioned in his sermon served as a health check to most of us as believers.

1. Performance is doing your devotions out of guilt, but Obedience is seeking God with your all.
2. Performance is quickly scanning the passage quickly so you can end your bible reading plans but Obedience is really dwelling in the words and allowing God’s richness to dwell in you.
3. Performance is being your best but Obedience is doing your best.
4. Performance is doing whatever people ask of it but Obedience is doing whatever God asks of you.
5. Performance springs from the fear of failure but Obedience springs from the fear of God.

Are you performing for others to see or are you obeying God?

I think as believers, it is important for us to check our hearts from time to time if we are really following Jesus wholeheartedly. Many of us as we continue to serve, especially when FREEDOM is coming, we tend to just serve out of serving or even lose our own spiritual walk with God in the midst of serving, lets always remember that It is because of his love that's why we are evangelising, It is because of his love that's why we are doing our shepherding, It is because of his love that's why we want to win the schools for Jesus!

With God's power, we can do the impossibles and 13 shall be done!

Hello people! I'm here to share a testimony on how God has moved in my life when I obeyed the Holy Spirit.

Last saturday, there was this sec 2 manjusri convert! *screams

I got to know her when i went to attend eastb3's caregroup on friday to play guitar for worship. There were 2 visitors and she was one of them.

What happened was that during worship as i was playing and praying, God spoke to me that both of them are facing friendship problems. Initially, I thought it was just something in my head and my own imagination. However, HS keep knocking in my heart and I decided to just obey since there's no harm in speaking out also.

It went something like that 'I believe that God wants to speak to 1 or 2 of you here who're facing problems in your life, especially in the area of friendship. Want to let you know that God is our friend, and he is always there for us......"

After worship, I didn't probe much about it. All the way till saturday when the visitor came for service and it was during altar call when God told me to speak to her again. So I reminded her about what was spoken in caregroup that God wants to be her friend, and that she was here not by chance, but for a reason etc. And she converted!

But that's not the end. On Sunday, one of the caregroup members told me something that blew me away totally.

On the very day after caregroup, both the visitors actually smsed to tell her that they're facing bad friendship problems in their lives at that point of time. The manjusri girl even asked why did i get know about this, and thus was interested to go for service the next day. And God used me to remind her about God wanting to be her friend again during altar call. It's so divine!

I was thinking back, if I have never obeyed and spoken during caregroup, will the outcome still be the same? or will she have not come to know God?

Thank God I made the right decision at that point of time.
Thank God He used me, it's really such a privilege (:

God can do the same in your life as well!
Obey the Holy Spirit.
Bring your friends for FREEDOM! (:

Okay... Here are the THINGS you have to bring for camp:

Bible & writing material
4 to 5 sets of clothes (including a blue t-shirt as our district dress code)
Toiletries like toothbrush, toothpaste, toilet roll, facial foam, shampoo, body foam and etc... [To prevent air pollution and causing people to suffocate without breathing]
A jacket to keep you warm [or else you all will be kuala bear, hugging each other for warmth]
Sports shoe (for games) & Slippers (at night or some other purpose)
Handphone charger
Some other stuff you wanna bring like your... smelly bolster? haha!
Sleeping bag (optional)

P.S: For those people who forget to bring No1. to camp, it's some sort of a dumbest thing. Hello~ you are going for a camp where there's teaching and how can you not bring your bible!

hello ppl! (:

really want to share to you people how God has blessed the Springfield team so far.
yupp, when we started out pionnering Springfield when CG08 was first launched, the students' hearts were super hardened and there were rarely any responsive contacts every time we head down to the school to evax. We continued to perserver even when there was no fruits all the way till end of phase 1 of pioneering.

however, a new Springfield pioneering team was formed somewhere at the beginning of 2008. With a renewed vision, a stronger burden to win the school and a bigger heart for God and His people, we marched forth believing that God WILL definitely use every single one of us to plant a CG in Springfield Secondary once and for all! woo~

We started out from evaxing outside the school gate every day. most of the people literally ran away from us when we approached them. -.- HAHA! Worst of all, we got caught by the Discipline Master a few times and was warned not to approach the students. Well, indeed.. when there's a will,there's a way! hehes. We went to evax at the other gate of the school and the DM never appeared there! yay!~ Slowly and steadily, we got more responsive lower secondary contacts day by day.

though it was a good start, we knew that we had to move faster as the number of contacts we got each day were rather few. So we picked up courage, trusted in God's covering (camouflage =x) and entered the school to evax. Surely, God's faithfulness never fails. Day by day as we enter the school, our influence in the school grew. Not only were they always so excited to see us when we stepped into their canteen, they even invited us to their classroom to help them with their class decor! They also asked us along to hang around before their cca starts.And that was also how from one group of people, we got to know another group of new friends and their friends. :D

We also fast and pray for those responsive contacts that God will open doors for us to bring the Good News across to them. R-esponsive, A-vailable, I-nfluential, N-on-graduating seeds! And i must really testify, fasting and praying will bring about fruits and victories! ^^ yea, on one of the friday, i was making my way to meet one of the St. Hilda's contact to SOW on her. however, it was raining cats and dogs while i was on the bus and she didn't reply my smses. So i was wondering if i should still go and meet her.. and guess what? A sms came and it was from my sec 1 springfield contact (Michelle)! She asked if i want to meet her up at the playground and have lunch together after that. And you know what? i was fasting and praying for fruits at that time! ((: Though it was raining super heavily (roads flooding and all), she came with another friend with an umbrella to fetch me to Macdonalds. so touched luh! =P After lunch, they insisted on coming over to my place to take a look. so... MUAHAHAHA, i decided to "pop" the golden question... "Are you free tomorrow?"
THEY SAID YES and they were so excited that they met up together at 9am in the morning to go for service together. (FYI, i was having choir in the morning) hees. thank God they didn't pangseh man..

i was quite troubled at first when they didn't want to stand or even clap during praise and worship as they said " we are buddhist so cannot worship other gods." =\ i tried to encourage them to keep an open heart to sit thru' the service. And God greatly moved in them. i guess it was THE service for them, as halfway during the sermon, they turned to me and said " woah, Christians so good one have gatherings and they organise events, unlike buddhist lor.. don't have such things." i was super encourage upon those words. then they said HweeJin suddenly voiced out " i think i want change to Christian leh, you leh?" as she asked Michelle. and Michelle smiled and nodded. At that moment. i tell you, i almost wanted to fly out of my chair man! they are such a divine blessing from God! ^^ though they didn't dare to go down for altar call, i believe they are truely sincere in receiving Jesus into their lives that very day. (:

After dinner, we went to Bugis with Jingjing to take neoprints.
And asked them if they remember the 3 things DK and Joyce(west) has brief the new believers about, and guess what not only did they remember.. they even asked me where to get bible and what is caregroup. cool eh? what's more? when they reached home, they called to ask me to conference and ask how if their parents object.
Hwee jin's mum found out that she went to church that day and was quite bu shuang then called Michelle to find out if it's true. then Michelle was like quite pissed as she told me over msn that " why can't parents allow us to choose what we want to believe in? we want to be Christians cannot meh?" HAHA, from that i know that she's really sincere in wanting to know God. then i asked her what was she doing and she said "reading the Gospel of John." i almost scream infront of the computer but it was late at night so... shhh. =P haha.

Anyhow, testing came soon after their conversion.
The teacher of Springfield called me one day and asked me how am i related to HweeJing, am i from church and where am i bringing Hweejing to on that day. Later then i found out that actually it was because Hwee Jing wanted to come for CG and skipped her cca. but thank God that the teacher herself is a Christian and tried to help to talk to HweeJing's mum. praise God! even though Hweejing's mum knew that it was something got to do with church, she gave permission for HweeJing to go for CG! whee~

The following week or the week before their conversion, we had 7 Springfield girls plus guys who came down for CG! woots! Michelle also blogged about how God answered her prayer and expressed her love for God on her own blog! And soon after, we witness another sec 1 Springfield convert during Hello,Love part 1! (Adrelia) ((: Adrelia is also one of the other super new believer man! Though only barely one month old spiritually, she is regular for CGs and services and furthermore,she even initiate to talk to one of the visitors during our recent MCG! With God's blessings, we also want to be faithful harvesters of the land we're given yea? SPRINGFIELD WILL BE COMPLETED!!! ^^

Wanna encourage those schools that have yet to see fruits, continue to perserver under God's guidance to the promised land! God'll never shortchage the faith and hardwork each and every one of us has invested in our pioneering schools! ^^ Also to those schools that are near completion or already completed, continue to grow and multiply! For God is never stingy in pouring down His blessings! jiayou East schools! :D

Yes, certainly East have been a great great family to all of us! And we’ve got enough of being just a family! This year, let’s put on our armour along with our helmets and move on to a Army of God… at the same time, not forgetting that we’re still brothers and sisters serving together (: Wan Shi Ru East is just the event not to be missed! Because we’re gonna showcase to you through a visual experience in having victories even when we’re still a whole family!

Oh how bout this? You played before Food Junction? Amazing Race? And I’m certain you’re sick and tired of running around town under the hot blazing sun. Now now, we’ve come up with a super uber people-friendly game. No sweat, no cash involvement, no strings attached! AWESOMENESS!And now, how bout that? A place fully furnished, with three aircons, dvd players, sofa and a POOL table! In fact it feels like a cosy home but with a touch of café! The best of the best part is… it’s free! Beat that!

Being a typical Singaporean, I am always attracted when people mentioned “cheap”, and my eyes sparkle! Exactly… in Wan Shi Ru East, we’re paying lesser and enjoying better facilities and food!

EAST B MCG!

Believe u guys still remember Dennis mentioning in East meeting that East B had a MCG yeah? Hehe yup our MCG’s theme was BDAY BDAY BANG BANG! We had it at Lestari’s house on 261007 and to beat the tradition, we had steamboat instead of the usual way of celebrating bday.. hehehe Xp

Our main objective in organizing this MCG is to see more people to join us and even receive salvation in time to come! Not only so, it’s also for celebrating 3 of our East Babes’ bdays, namely, Abigail [1910], Chrystal [2610] and Dawn [2810]! Believe you guys had a memorable bday this yr yeah wahahahahax XD

K serious serious.. really wanna thank God for blessing us with 17 vistors from a mixture of several schools, a number we didn’t expect! They were responsive and some of them even initiated to get our contact number, praise God! *claps!* :D
And though we thought the food was not enough, but the fun and fellowship we had with one another was really great, everyone really enjoyed themselves! :D

In addition, 2 of the visitors, Qingxia and Felicia, converted on the next day, 2710! This really serves as an encouragement to all and we can’t stop giving thanks! We gotta work hard in retaining them, gals! :D

Yeah, was reminded of 1 Corinthians 12:12-27 and indeed, all of us played a part in leading this MCG to a success, so thank God for all of your hard work, East Babes! :D

So, JIAYOU everyone for CG08!!
Whatever you do, do it with God! Trust in Him and be assured that things will be alright because He is always in control! Amen!? :D

i'll brief abit on what exactly happened to RC for those who do not know what's happened.

2 weeks ago on friday,7/9/07, dennis was informed that we are required to move out of RC in a week's time. this has been our third RC, the problem that required faith was that. previous times, we took at least 2 - 3 weeks before we find a suitable and affordable place as our RC and move all our belongings to the new RC. and now we are told that we are supposed to do everything within a week's time!

So dennis gathered the East on the following monday, 10/9/07 and told us the situation East is in. We prayed and fast together for the week. And though at the end of the week, we still can’t find an RC but still we thank God as all of our tenants have managed to get a place to live in temporarily. And also the storage that members of the church have opened up to store RC’s stuffs which has been a problem since we dun have a RC currently. Praise God for these 2 blessing!

In addition, God’s promise that if we do our best, He would take care of the rest was fulfilled! As God blessed us with one of the sisters’ in the East as her sister happen to have a 4-room flat that is available for rent at the end of the year and the price we would be able to get is a good price as well, as it is way below the market price!

God is faithful in keeping His promises. And God says that when we put in efforts, there WILL definitely be results! It applies even to the world, so let’s trust in God even when our schools doesn’t seems to have any fruits yet! For it will come according to God’s timing! Let’s keep the momentum for CG08 high! Jiayou everyone!

yes this was our RC once. but however, God has a much better plan and place for us as RC! let's praise God. just a verse for memory, 1 thessalonians 5:18. give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. =)

HELLO PEOPLE OF GOD ! =D

just wanna share with you all a testimony we shared during youth CLm last saturday =D
perhaps some of you might not know that EastC did not really reaped much fruits during I.F , therefore shar met the coreteam up and we decided to evangelise everyday . we too , realised that we've got quite a few poly students that still serving in the youth and thus make use of them to evax every morning =D

we went down to six of our pioneering schools in five weekdays and managed to gather up to over hundred contacts . it was rather difficult for the poly students as we no longer wake up at four plus five in the morning to go school . as each day passed by , you could almost see that our eyes are covered by black eye ring and every single sentence we speak in the morning seriously doesn't make sense . having to juggle between project datelines , tests , assignments and excuses to our parents for going out at such an unearthly hour , we thank God that He brought us through this whole period . we came out in one piece , alive and kicking . yes , i am still as slim as ever xD

we held a steamboat MCG on national day eve for PLs and whoever with visitor will join too , so as to facilitate better . all we expected was a mere few visitors , just nice so that we can control the crowd and such but God taught us how to have faith in a big manner ! lo and behold , we're outnumbered by our visitors , they kept on flowing into rc till our own people do not know how to handle . we had to go down to NTUC to buy food and disposable utensils and stuff , God knows how many times we run to and fro and even our visitor had to come with us . through this , we surely learnt how to expect God to move big time ! =D the visitors enjoyed themselves as we played as though we knew each other for ages and they're really friendly =D right now we're praying that their hearts are open to God as well , not only to the fun atmosphere .

i wanna thank God for a particular convert from JUNYUAN SECONDARY ! she's isabel , sec one this year ! i tell you , she's really cool lah , she's really responsive to the word and eager to know about the spiritual stuff like holy spirit baptism and all . she's very eager to learn as she will like ask jade for the next shepherding and she enjoys caregroup and service =D God , we wanna see more of such good seeds ! as we fast and pray this week , may You pour down Your blessings so much that we've got no room for it =D

hey everybody!

this Mag here to share another testimony! whee~
God is indeed faithful when we give our best to Him. (:

being a sec 4 student, it's rather tough to set aside time to evax and SOW, especially when there seemed to be extra lessons almost every day after school. however, i thank God for the little pockets of time He blessed me with to go down to evax. (:

met up with Angelin at Tampines interchange last Wednesday to evax. oh yes, wanna take this time to affirm Angelin as she took much courage to evax even though it was her very first time doing so! you go gal! wheets~ anyhow, seeing that interchange had not much students, we went over to TM to continue evaxing. We approached many lower sec girls who seemed to be just fairly responsive until before we left... three Tampines Primary girls walked passed us. Though it was the first time that we've met those three girls, two of them were super responsive and one of them jus began opening up to us on the spot. Well, i dunno why contacts would always laugh at me when i introduce myself but i know that this girl is really an answered prayer. :D

One of the girl, Jocelyn came for our caregroup on that week. Despite her first time in caregroup and knowing only two person in the group, she had the courage to do forfeit in front of the others. I believe that she had s great time there as our caregoup really had great fun with her.

Jocelyn came for service last saturday, in the same week as Cg. While waiting at small mac for the rest, she suddenly told me that actually she wanted to bring her sister along. cool eh?( FYI, she already knows that it's church.). Yeah, i believe that she will bring her sisiter next time round.

In service, I believe greatly in my heart that God will had the untlimate power to control what is going to hppen in the heavenly realms. Explaining things to her, welcoming her as much as we could to make her feel love. And guess wad? she raised up her hand during alter call!woohoo~ hehes. she's realli cool man!

After service, we had a meeting at SMU and she also went along. On the way there, when we reached the stop, she called the rest to alight as we've reached the place. She also played around with the rest of the people, not feeling shy or jus kept clinging to me. Then, when Sharlene said that " maybe we can bluetooth our new believers some praise and worship songs....", she turned and ask me, "When you can send me songs ar?" lol. realli amused by her childlikeness. (: Afterwhich, she asked me when could she get a bible. hahas. I also called her the next day to meet up for follow-up and she heard me coughing and asked me if i'm okay... not okay must see doctor... drink more water kind of stuff. then i said jokingly, " wahh, you so concern ar?" and she replied, " Of course luh, you're my follow-upperleh." awwwww.. so sweet rite?

She also told me that on her way home after the meeting ,together with Fiona and Chrystal, they went to a Christian bookstore and she saw the bible which is $8. from that, can realli see how much she wants to own one for herself. lol. hahas. indeed, she realli a blessing to me and i believe she'll be a blessing to the group as well.

hey everyone! it's my turn to share with you guys how God has bless me with this contact during last sat's ESS. yup, i've been working on this guy called Sheng Han ever since February this year. He's from my school, and I got to know him through my CCA. He came once for Easter service but he didnt receive Jesus.

some background info on him: This guy likes to scold vulgarities and whenever i talk to him, there'll sure be vulgarities flying around. haha... and also, he likes to quarrel with his mother as well.

despite the fact that he rejected me everytime i ask him, i continued to perserve on and invite him for service every week because i know that poeple like him needs JESUS. incredibly, he agreed and came for service last week! for ESS!! though i always think that he's a hard guy to work on and there isnt any possibilty that he will receive Jesus into his life, but i continued to trust in God and continue praying for him and indeed, God is faithful, Sheng Han RECEIVED JESUS INTO HIS LIFE!!! yea, i was super happy for him and really thank God as well.

and guess wad? just the day after he converted which is sunday, he told me something that made my hair stood up. He told me that he almost quarrelled with his mum again on that day but he didnt! he actually prevented himself from doing so! haha. also, he told me that he find it hard to stop scolding vulgarities completely but he'll try to refrain himself from using!!! WHOA, i was really shocked! somemore it's 1 day after his conversion! i can really sense that God is moving in his life already!

just to add on, i met up with him on monday and his good friend told me that he also want to receive Jesus! It's like, issit God or wad???
i'm super duper encouraged by that man! i can feel that God is moving in TEMASEK SEC already!!!! for ya info, i'm the only Y-hope in my school and i really wanna thank God for blessing me with another brother in my school to run this race together with me!! and i believe that if God can do this to my school and the brothers group, he can also do this to your school as well as your group! jia you everyone for CG08!!!! -Wilfred :)

hello everyone!
haha. first ESS was last week and im sure everyone agreed it was AWESOME! yeah?
i was simply blown away! (:
apart from that, something even greater happened! my junior, WAN XIN, came to know God!

Some time ago i went to friendster and decided to try adding my juniors on friendster, even though i didnt know the people at all. so i added this junior whom i used to work on. then on friday when confirming attendance, i smsed her to ask her for ss!
and amazingly after some time she replied me saying she can come!

then during service she was really cool. haha yes really cool. she felt welcomed (:
(give yourself a pat on the back for being so warm and friendly! )

so yeah she received christ during altar call (:

and she's been really cool, and started experiencing God already!

so wanna encourage you guys, jiayou, dont give up! logically speaking,if you work hard, you will surely reap results. however, if you choose to depend on God for even more, wont the results be even better? so yeah, trust God all the way!

i was almost late for school today with an injured ankle, so i was praying hard and trusting God that he will do something. i dont know what, but just something! so God really provided for me all the way. i reached school on the dot and had the whole national anthem thing at the foyer with the rest of the latecomers who reached on the dot. the teacher let us go back to our classes after that! wahhhhhh its really God man.
i really held on to this verse in the bible.

Matthew 17:20
He replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."

haha yeah so jiayou! dont give up! when we bring a friend to come to know God, we're doing our part by giving them the chance to experience eternity. (:

hey everyone! I'm here to share my personal testimony of God's faithfulness. Though it may not be about pioneering thingy, however is still a blessing for our almighty God!

to start off with, i am currently a sec 4 student which means it's my O lvls this yr! yepyep. the common question asked would be, " How to cope between ministry and studies?" and well, on top of these two areas, there are also our family, friends and cca commitements to juggle with eh? hees. disclaimer please. it's never easy to be an all-rounder, however, God will see us through when we seek Thy Kingdom first! :D

frankly, i have not been doing realli well in my studies since sec 2 and my foundation is realli weak for a graduating student. i felt realli discouraged when i realise that i could not cope with my studies and ministry at the same time. with that desire to be part of the harvesters in CG08, i made this prayer to God in the First Frontier Camp that i want to be used greatly despite the approaching national exams. i didn't want to be stifled in extending the Kingdom Of God because of my studies. We are Christians that happened to be students, not students that happened to be Christians! we exist for a higher calling, Amen? (:

like Pastor Jeff who warned us that testings will come...
not long after camp, my testings came.
i was so afraid my parents would scold me for my poor results, thus,i only showed them my results the day before school reopened.
never did i expected it but i got serious scoldings from my parents and they threatened to force me to move out of my house and cancel my tuition (which i very much needed) if i continued to serve God. i knew that they were serious about what they said and they would most probably take action as they repeated what they said in the following day. never in my life have i seen my parents so firm in their warnings and repeated it to me over and over many times. indeed, i was taken aback at that instance. i realli didn't know what to do as it was a difficult decision to make. after much praying, i jus made the decision to continue serving God and to follow God no matter what, for He has jus done far far far far too much for me... i couldn't bear to turn my back on Him. aiyah, dunno how to use words to describe. =x hehes. still, with much fear in my heart, i simply trust God and went for service that saturday.

i realli dunno how but God just made a way. (:

i went home and dad jus gave me the money to pay my tutor the next morning when i'm going to have tuition.
he didn't even said anything about canceling my tuition or scold me for going for service!!! wow, i'm amazed by God's grace. Indeed, faith can move the mountains!

jus wanna encourage those out there who may be facing parental objection of ur faith, never never give up!
God'll never shortchange you when you give Your all to the KOG. ((: Trust and obey Him, and His blessings will be porured upon you.
btw, i have improved quite abit in my A and E maths! *applauses* =x
yay, all glory goes back to God! ^^

yup, if you're felling rather tied down by all the things you have to tend to in your life but realli want to be used by God...
JUS WHACK! God'll back you up with everything you need and turn your weaknesses into strengths if you continue to trust in Him! (:
testings will come but fear not as God allowed them to equip you for greater things to come!

God is always there with you!!!

It is really tough and tiring. Tough in pushing myself down to St Hilda’s to get contacts even when my team is unable to come, tough in approaching big groups, tough in approaching gangsters, tough in sustaining my spirit of enthusiasm and tough in putting up my courage. Tiring most of the times when it is like after a whole day of school and going down to get contacts and shepherding and calling up of contacts when I reach home and starting my revision and completing my mountain like homework and finally sleeping at 2 plus 3( and and and……). Well, this is my normal routine nowadays, since I decided to commit to CG08.

However, through all these, God spoke to me and what seems like refreshing water was poured unto my burned out spirit.

The other day when I was getting contacts ‘alone’, I had a sudden thought. “Is ‘alone’ the word to use?” Well, the answer was just shot back directly into my face. “NO!!!” Of course, all these I am doing, I am not doing alone. I am doing all these with the one who instructed me to do, God. Immediately, I started talking to God and did it with God. Telling Him how tired I was and sharing every thought I have with Him. Such as the people walking by, those that rejected me and whine to Him when there was no one in sight for a long time. I would say it was my best experience and best of spirit compared to the past few days that I went down.

All in all, the message is this. We are all doing this pioneering with the one who instructed us to do, not alone. Though sometimes we may be seen alone, but in our hearts we are not alone. Besides, doing God’s work without God’s power guiding us is like a tortoise trying to climb a pole. When you get this and really get it right, everything you do will seem so different. Your energy never seems to run out and your excitement never drops. For in Phil 4:13 says ‘I can do everything through him who gives me strength.’

there have been alot of testimonies coming from all over the east! east b, east c, east d, east e and east f! and so when ur grp is growing or is going to grow even bigger, u all need a place which is neat and tidy and also! comfortable and cosy. that place will be RC! however those that have been to RC lately will know that RC isnt exactly in the best of state ahaha. xD and so ... the Housekeeping Team Presents ...

AND!

RC has been a place where many lives have been changed during CGs, Camps, Shepherdings, DMM etc. So lets all keep it clean and neat after we use RCs for our activities. God have been faithful in giving us this RC which is so well facilitated compared to previous RCs so lets be faithful in keeping it clean too! lets leave a good impression for our visitors who comes for our CGs. jiayou EAST!

in today's service God not only blessed our group with 2 visitors. God blessed us with 2 converts too! oh btw im aloysius from east D1 haha. 1st, let me share about this so amazing convert! during praise, he actually told me that he's gonna jump together with us! but the more amazing thing was on our way home, he actually wanted to join us in caregroup very much and also initiated to go brendon's hse! its like the best thing a follow upper want to have. but he told us he is not able to go for caregroups on thursday cos he had chinese tuitions from 4pm to 6pm, however! God is great! he just told us on msn that he is going to cancel that chinese tuition! and so he is able to make it for caregroup nw! and then his nick changed to
Y-HOPE ROX. wow! encouraging! and he asked brendon fervently to go to his hse for holy spirit baptism!!!! ARHHH!! God is mad!! i mean in a positive way ahaha, he also asked us to go his hse during wk days! man.. and most importantly. HE IS FROM ST HILDA'S! yay~

haha alrite. now about the 2nd convert, he was connected to our group pretty quickly! he was able to click with everyone and just play amongst us as if he were already in our group! praise God! later on during the service during altar call, i was kinda surprised yet glad by his reaction. when i asked him whether he want to receive Jesus. he asked me in chinese "jie shou?"[receive in chinese] so i said yarh. and guess what was the next sentence? he asked me if i could go down with him! i was like OF COURSE im willing too! thank God for such responsive converts! and last of all! im super encouraged to see so many testimonies around and its so amazing because this is only the beginning of CG08! GOGO EAST! and also ST HILDA'S! haha=p -aloysius

TODAY IS SERVICE AND GUESS WHAT? (:

SEC 1 NGEE ANN CONVERT

ahhhhhhhhhhh. i was so filled with JOY within me. it's like, FINALLY AFTER SO LONGGGGGGGGGGGGG and there's 1 responsive ngee ann convert.

hehe so i shall share with you about her story and how she finally came today!

she's xuelin and she's my very first contact after the launch of CG08. remembered i was so desperate after camp to get contacts but it wasn't school reopen yet, so i went to friendster and add people. so she was the first responsive person who talked to me for like 3 hours plus in the middle of the night. and that was the first time we talked. and she called me BF- best friend, LOL.

so after that when school reopened, candace and i went to sow on her twice, the first time was really cool cos we met ps shirls and sharlene at parkway parade. thank God we did, i thought it was divine and God's plan cos sharlene introduce ps shirls to her as our pastor and all, so today when she came, she could identify more, and she remembered shar too! (: we invited her for service the week before school reopens, but she had to go cruise. both candace and i believed that if she doesnt go, she'd have come, but God reassured me that he has his perfect timing to let her convert once she comes down, and it's today!

i really thank God for candace for asking her down very early way before confirmation day, i cant remember when (maybe around tue?) that xuelin's confirmed coming already :D we prayed and prayed like anything for her on our own, and when she came today, there were lotsa miscomm and last min changes and stuffs, but thank God she came for 1st service instead of 2nd service. if she havent come for 1st service, she'd have missed out knowing everyone in the cg better, she'd have missed out district huddle, she'd have missed out everything else!

haha, during altar call, i was super nervous and kept praying. the last thing i'd do at that point of time was to stop praying. LOL. when ps jeff gave the invitation of wanting to receive into their lives, i peeped at her and didnt see her moving or what. and at ps jeff's last call for invitation, i saw her raising up her hand on her own accord!!! :D you probably understand how i felt if you've gone through this before. i didnt even have to explain anything to her, and we just went down the asle. the feeling was so ........ haha, i dont know how to describe. it's like ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh and i am so happy!

after service, candace called me and 'ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh' all the way. man, i could literally hear and feel her joy through the phone too. (:

just now when she was online, her msn nick was ' ♥ CG08 n oso East F 070707(: ' she's so privleged to have her spiritual birthday as 777. LOL.

i am very convicted that God told me that this is just the beginning only! last week, i have a ngee ann responsive visitor (i'll blog about her when she converts SOON), this week, i have a ngee ann responsive convert, next week, there'll be more! step by step, God i trust in your wondrous and perfect plans. whatever you're going to do to bring me through to see cg08 coming to past, i'm gonna cling on and depend on you all the way.

at that point of time, melody, aloy and me were all on east blog either editting blog stuffs or posting testimonies. and the thing about seeing that many people are always inside to post testimony whenever you go in to post your testimony too suddenly hit me. don't YOU (yes if you're from east) want to see this happening?

i really want to see this happening in the EAST. it's like what dennis said in plm today that the more testimonies we have, the more we're growing. its true isnt it? how can you not see miracles/testimonies if you are growing?

therefore, i'm encouraging everyone of you (yes YOU, east people) here to send in your testimonies to your CLs, or basically anyone you know who has access to this blog. you never know that your testimony will be an encouragement to someone who's feeling down at a point of time. you never know that your testimony will impact people's lives and cause them to want to work even harder for this KOG. you never know that your testimony will be a blessing to people all over the world, because this is the internet that everyone can have access to. your 1 testimony makes a big difference! amen.

Today God blessed me in a very interesting way. I was at Blk 800+ bus stop waiting for bus 293. I was listening to a podcast when i saw these 2 junyuan lower sec guys. God prompted me to approached them, but i was....simply.....lazy! haha. i boarded the bus and realised that they were right behind me. But i just acted as if i didnt see them. Then at the next stop, a springfield guy board the bus! I CHOOSE to ignore him too. The excuse that i gave was that he looks plump! OMG!!! I'M SO SINFUL!!! *sob sob...... (I repented le! =/ )

Soon, the bus was turning into the Blk 700+ area. As i browse through the view outside, i saw that there were a bunch of SPRINGFIELD LOWER SEC GUYS at the basketball court!!!! Honestly, my very first thought was " I see nothing, God!" Then God prompted me to alight at the next stop and get to know them. But i was so scared as i dun not have any surveys or paper with me! Thus, i started to reasoned out with God, telling him all the excuses why i shouldnt go down. But God gave me the ultimate question- DO YOU REALLY WANT TO SEE SPRINGFIELD GROW?!

"...y..e...s....", i replied with tons of guilt and fear, as i already gave up on the previous 3 guys.
" Show it through your actions then!" God simply put it across.
i was totally dumbfounded. =X. In the end, at the moment when the door almost closed, i quickly rushed out of the bus before i turn back on my words. =x

As i walked towards the basketball court, i was thinking of how to approach them as i was not equipped with surveys and papers. So upon reaching, i sat at one of the side-benches thinking of other ways. I was looking at them playing when suddenly the ball flew past me and one of them ran towards my direction. God prompted me to asked that guy whether i can join them, but i was questioning god whether it's the right time. So........ i gave it a pass! But the truth is that when you are in God's plan, you can't run away! The ball flew past me the second time and this time round, i knew i got to ask!!!

"Hey, can i join you all? Since you all are playing 3 vs 4." they all looked at one another and then agreed! (just for info, i dun really play bb= i cant really play well!) HEEZ.... So i joined them to play, 'barefooted-ly'. Guess what? within 10min into game, i realised i had 2 BLISTER on both of my foot but i still carried on with the game with slippers on which was not really comfortable.

However, in the end of the day, I got all of their no!!!! hahaz. they were all very responsive, esp 5 of them!!!! We sat down after the game and just talked and slack! SO COOL! Really thank God man!!!!! 7 contacts!!!! WAH! =)

Hey guys and galz! Sometimes, we may be afraid to do certain things for God. And i wanna congrats you! Cos it's perfectly NORMAL!!!! Sometimes serving god is just so scary as we always got to step out of our comfort zone and face the unknown! But, what differentiate normal christians from christians who do great things for God is that though they fear, they are willing to simply take another step of faith and say "God, though i'm scared, here i am, use me!!!"

During this CG08, you can choose to just let it be another evangelism activity. But of cos, you can also choose to let it be the most memorable period of your life, by choosing to step out in faith and do things that you nv try before; going to places where no man have gone before! HAISING TEAM PROUDLY PRESENT YOU WITH OUR TESTIMONY ! hahaha !
like any other pioneering team , last week was a hectic one for everyone cos we're all busy gathering contact pool . initially all wasn't very fruitful until the very last minute and this indeed boost the team's morale knowing that their labour's not in vain ! =D
my team consist of irene , shushan , sylvia and me . yea they are young... and I'M NOT ! =x anyway we went down last monday and tuesday but we didn't have much contacts and all of them ain't very responsive . i seriously wonder what's wrong with haising people cos MOST are very unfriendly when we approached them and they always refer us to talk to their palm instead . all of us went back , feeling not very fruitful but even more determined to evax to our very best during our next meet up .
on thurs we went down knowing full well that we don't have much time left . eager to get to know more people but yet we faced even MORE rejections =x our spirits are very much dampen due to the fact that people aren't responding to us despite our efforts and the-fake-or-not-fake smile on our faces . nevertheless i was very encouraged by irene's spirit , she was like " aiya very heartbroken ! but i'll not go home until and unless i have enough contacts ! " but then the time was like very late so we went pasir ris library to rest and do our homework , regaining our spiritual health with some fellowshipping and encouragements =D
friday approached and lo and behold NO FRUITS AGAIN ! we're like what's happening ! still we did not gave up , we had a conclusion that haising people are weirdos so we decided to go to the library hoping to catch some good seed . we walked past these three haising girls and we're all about to outreach to them when we heard them murmuring irene's name . one of them are actually the girl that irene reached out to the past few days , so we went over and started chatting . yes indeed it was kinda of awkward but we managed to break the ice with some jokes . they're friendly people and responsive to us , though not to the word cos one of them did say church is a "no-no" but i could sense her impression of church change as we continued our conversation . we chatted for quite long then we went to eat burger king together , so it was like also sowing.. had a great time with them and this indeed helped the team to see God working in desperate situations =D

wanna affirm my team cos as you can see , ALL OF THEM ARE NEW IN THIS . in fact this is their first time yet they are so courageous in stepping out to talk to people . God sees your heart , he'll never ever shortchange you . continue doing to your best and He'll top up the rest ! let's believe together and claim His promise =D

wanna share something about my caregroup too ! haha all these silly people really brighten up my life =D yea we had this two pre believing east view girls joining us for caregroup regularly and i can sense strongly that one of these girls are already like accepted Jesus into her life but we have not yet speak to her bout Christ and yet she's already praising and worshipping God . tell me this is cool or cool ?! then got this dunman girl call yiling , i personally don't know her well but i heard from my silly caregroup that she's head over heels with them . as in really love hanging out with us and even mentioned in her blog that she wants to come to hope church again ! tell me again.. is this cool or cool ?!!? fine east eccentric , love us alright ! =D HAHAHAHAHA ! I REALLY MEAN LOVE ! MUST LOVEEEEE AR !

yeah.am gonna blog what was shared during the Dsitrict Huddle last Sat..

It all started when our team was evax-ing at Parkway area on Wednesday of the last week of school holidays. hehe.amazingly during school holidays..these MacPherson girls were wearing uniform! wahahaha.. so Dawn and i approached the 4 of them! for survey. yup..they gladly did it ANDD..they are super responsive! we chatted for some time at MacDonald's. (: they are so comfortable with us that they even offered us honey sticks and gladly welcome us to visit their school if we're free lah.. yay! (:

Ok, another exciting incident was that Dawn and i managed to enter MacPherson school itself!! whoo.. the 4 girls just brought us in leh.then the security guard don't know why didn't caught us even though Dawn was wearing Manjusri uniform and i was at home clothes. WAHAHAHAH! praise God! by that we managed to look around the school and did a little prayer walk too.yeap..a great time of SOW-ing with the 4 girls too. another yay! :)

You see, though the girls have not yet converted or joined us for any of the services.. but i do felt God has encouraged my group through this experience!all the more we are convicted that MacPherson will not stay to be barren land but a fuitful one!
AHHH.. everyone, let's have this holy discontentment in us! keep wanting MORE of everything! more miracles, more faith, more courage, more in praying, more converts, simply more of God and the Spirit! yeah.. believe as we desire and ask, God will surely bless you! amen!! :D

I know there are some of us that are discouraged, press on bros and sisters! I know its not easy being on the field with the screaming sun and the lack of fruits; let them make you stronger instead. Talk to people around and be encouraged by their stories. Don't let the feeling of discouragement stop your creativity and perseverance! Talk to me and tell me about it, I will keep you especially in prayer. Talk to your leaders as well, believe they will encourage you tons too.

Will share more things to you guys along the week; hope to hear more fantastic stories. Remember what has been covered during the district huddle.

NEXT week! Let's start to see converts and people streaming in. Then these people can be our harvesters as well during the ESS! How cool is that!

For those lagging behind, believe you are growing even as your contact pool is growing slowly. Don't scare! You are not competing with anyone else. You are not lagging behind those in your unit or CG. The race and path that God allow you to go is especially for you guys, grow or no grow make the best out of it. But of course i believe with FAITH God wants and will make us fruitful in his timing! So press on. Rmb PLs, i said if it takes 6 months before the converts come in, are you willingly to go through that test? We will press on and do our best East.

Yippee, it’s ACT CUTE time! Nah, it’s to share a wonderful testimony that God has blessed Changkat with!
Yeah, remembered sharing with Cheng, Meng, PQ that our goal for the first week is to have 40 contacts! But hey, yesterday evening our pioneering team has decided that we want 70! We prayed after collating our contacts and discussing some issues. Eh then today we evaxed again. GUESS WHAT! We then counted the contacts we have in total plus the previous one is, 65! And we evaxed only after 6pm, but God still gave us people! Like what Siewling said, "Praise the Lord!" Indeed, it’s unbelievable! But we really really pray that their hearts will be open to the gospel, to us. Or else, it's no use! PLEASE! P.U.S.H = Pray Until Something Happens. We want to do this; we're in this, BECAUSE JESUS IS WORTHY! During many prayers recently, God has an individual word for every one of the members, and I'm thankful for His faithfulness. May we really live believing the WOG, like what Cheng said, confirmed by Daniel Cheah, let's chiong for CG08 because the Word says that it's POSSIBLE! Woooohoo!

Hello everybody. You guys must have been going down to the different schools to pioneer for the past few days?! Dunman team definitely has, and we are enjoying the time there, even though it means rushing down to Dunman every single day after school, standing under the hot sun, trying to get people to do surveys etc. but just one thing i want to say is, God is faithful! God has the timing for every single thing, even though it means giving us responsive contacts at the very last minute!
Oh yeah, I am going to share what happened today in the ground of Dunman! Yeah yeah, at around 7thirty today, we were sitting at the void deck just opposite the school, trying to collate every contact we have, and putting them into our contacts book! Whoohoo! We stayed till so long, because we heard that there will be choir practice until 6-7pm like that. At first, we really saw a lot of people leaving the school, students that were in groups of 7 or even more than that, haha, so we got a bit disappointed at first, cause they were in such a HUGE group, and they were all walking AWAY frm the place we were in.
But, God remains to be faithful. Three young girls actually walked past us, towards the mama shop that is just behind us! Whoohoo! One of them left, so I and meng approached the two girls that were left there. And guess what, they appeared to be super responsive, kept on joking with us, playing around, they aren’t shy at all! That’s so amazing.. And when they finished the surveys, and we waved each other goodbye, i SUDDENLY have the strong urge to ask if they usually go online at night! Miraculously, one of them asked us to give her back her survey paper, because she forgot to write her msn address!
The both of them were sec 2 this year, and one of them is a sectional leader for choir, which means she has a certain level of influence among her peers and juniors, this is great, isnt it! Not only that, we are so blessed with good and responsive contacts, and we are still in the midst of SOW-ing on them! We really hope they can come and know Jesus soon and very soon!
And also, me and meng will be meeting Elena( dolphin's cousin) next week for lunch! yes, and i tell you, she is really talkative and is even willing to miss a few buses just to talk to me and meng! Yeah yeah! She is a drum major, man! oh man!
We just feel so blessed!
I felt very blessed too!
cause I have a bunch of team-mates that are willing to go all out for God in this process, and even though it means that they need to rush down after schools to get to dunman( not a very short distance okay! cause Dunman is in a weird place) HAHA. You guys were great! Thank God for all of you! Thanks for coming down whether it is shine or rain, thanks for getting out of your comfort zones, and that undying spirit that is burning stronger and stronger every single day. i believe with all my heart that God will never shortchange us! DUNMAN WILL GROW, let's keep this going on!

Haha, and I went down to Dunman since Monday, and it means, I need to talk and talk, and TALK! Haha!! By right, it should makes my throat even worse right (yah, cause I don’t really take medicine, or drink a lot a lot of water), but my voice got so much better, at least no more zhoa xiang! THANK YOU, GOD!

oh yeah! was so inspired by the few testimonies shown. now it's mine turn! *horray* okay, by the way, i am kaysee from east eccentric!! today i wanna share about the two converts God had blessed our group from PRCS(Pasir ris crest sec)!!

okay, let me tell you what actually happened. on one fine afternoon, well, let's take it that is was scorching hot. haha, minyi went down to east point mall to gather contacts from her school( changkat changi) . yep, so walking walking, she approached this three girls from prcs, and she invited them to our caregroup, and they actually agreed! yah by the way, gonna affirm minyi of her courage, she evaxed alone on herself! she is only sec one this year, and she actually dare to approach those seniors that are much older than her! kudos! =DD thank God for you * pat you on your shoulder!*

so they did came. during the sermon discussion time, minyi and me shared the bridge diagram and our life testimonies to the three of them in the RC's KITCHEN!( yah, thank God for the housekeeping team for the sparkling clean floor!)It was really superly duperly hot( because we are in the kitchen, and i think kitchens are meant to be hot), but they still listened attentively to us! hallelujah! at first, we shared the bridge diagram, they actually chose "A" but they didnt want to accept Jesus into their lives, mainly because of their parental objections. But somehow or rather, God actually touched their hearts when we were sharing our life testimonies! oh please, i am just so amazed at how God works! One of them actually took the step of faith and came to know Christ, yeah, we prayed for her in the kitchen! another girl told me to give her one day to think about it, and told me that she will give me an answer by tml/ this is so amazingly cool!

okay, something did happen after we went back to the room. i asked the whole group who wants to eat dinner outside, and then one of the girl( the one that say she will give me an answer by tml) called my name and said," wo ye yao join" in a small whispher. haha, so i was like, " oh, later we eat dinner together okay!", then after that i went OUT of simon's room! only later then i know she called me because she wants to tell me that she wants to accept Jesus into her life! haha, silly me! but i thank God that she still took the initative to tell peiqing about this!

was talking to the two girls in msn, they were indeed encouraging. i asked them why they made this choice and they told me that, they really do believe in Jesus, and want to take a step to know him in a more intimate way! just wanna thank God for this two prcs sec two converts, and i am sure more is to come. i pray hard that the third girl will come to know Christ soon and very very soon! haha. join us in praying regularly for them, okay!

Also, i wanna thank God for the few responsive contacts we have from dunman this week! more, and more!! oh yeah, and what more, they are mostly lower sec, and some were even influential characters in school e.g sectional leaders in choir/band. yes! gonna work on them! revival is near!

Just wanna end of with this verse in hebrews 13:6," so we say with confidence, the Lord is my helper, i will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" AMEN! indeed, when God is with us, WHO can be AGAINST us!! get ready your seatbelts, or else i am afraid that God's works is gonna blow you away when it comes! you gonna sit tight!

k start w/ when joy told me that im gonna lead my pionnering team 2 pioneer TKSS u bet i was shocked Xp

k after much thoughts i rmb that sebastian, a pri sch fren, is in TKSS but i dun realy noe him 1 hehe but juz whack lor Xp

so i juz smsed him chit chat a while n:

me:do u have anything on on saturdays?
s: yeah got tuition and cca
me: den r u free aroun afternoon time?
s: nope have ncc at 1200 den have tuition also

i was rather disappointed but i prayed that he'll be free e next saturday n u noe wat.

he was indeed free, no training n tuition that day- THK GOD XD

after smsing him 4 quite sum time, he's very responsive n quite keen on coming church after i invited him 2 svc. u bet i was like o my goodness he's God-sent 2 be e seed in TKSS n many'll surely come in time 2 come s we reap the harvest God's 4 us! :D

during svc-altar call, b4 n after ps shirley give e invitation, i was praying hard that he'll raise his hand n decide 2 receive Christ n he realy did! PRAISE GOD! XD

although i know that such cases of real responsive contacts r not easy to come by, but i strongly believe that there still r many out there who wanna receive Christ in2 their lives but juz that they dun have the chance to, because i was an example of such.

Today at 3pm++ , alfonso and i were walking around Springfield looking for new contacts. The problem is that they ended school at 1.40pm. Thus, there were very little people that we can find. But as we walk passed the basketball court, we saw number of upper sec playing BB match, and at the corner of the court, there 4 lower sec guys sitting down. We were wondering should we go in and approach them.

However, we had a lot of concerns like what if the security guard chase us out, what if alfonso kana complain (cos he was wearing full school-uniform), what if they find us weird etc etc etc...........

In the end, we decided............. JUST WACK LA!!!! We went in, talked to one of the 4. Cos the other 3 was quite a distance from the guy. Atmosphere was SUPER DUPER weird!!!!

So alfonso asked the ultimate question "can we have ur no?" It was so obvious that he was reluctant to give! But one of the 3 guys suddenly turned and shouted "Aiya! Just give lar?! Make more friends wont die one!" We were like... WOW! Yet, he still dun wanna give. In the end, alfonso actually passed them his no on a paper and we ran out cos the guard was walking towards us!!! SO SCARY K?!

The worst thing was aflonso said that he saw the security guard took away the paper. So we were super sianz! Our effort went to waste! ARRH!!!! But guess wat?!... While having dinner, one of the guy sms alfonso to ask him play basketball with them!!!! WA laU!!!! Contacts asking us to SOW on them?!?! MAdness!!! hahaha... Though only 2 went down, one of them were SUPER SUPER SUPER RESPONSIVE!!!!! hahaha...

You guys can do it too man!!! Jia you!!! Yi qin =)
